About Dr Nivana Ramlachan
Dr. Nivana Ramlachan is a renowned dermatology specialist and proudly South Africa’s first female dermatologist to perform MOHS micrographic surgery.
Dr. Nivana Ramlachan is a world-renowned dermatologist with over two decades of experience. She completed her MBChB in 1998 and earned her fellowship from the College of Dermatology in 2005. Dr. Ramlachan is South Africa’s first female dermatologist to practice MOHS Micrographic Surgery and currently operates private practices at Club Surgical Center and Libertas Office Park in Pretoria.
Her special interests include advanced skin cancer management using dermoscopy, mole mapping, and photodynamic therapy, as well as aesthetic dermatology with treatments such as fillers, toxins, lasers, and sclerotherapy. She also forms part of the MOHS Surgery Unit at Skin Matters.
Dr. Ramlachan holds several professional memberships, including DSSA, SASDS, ASDS, and ISD. Her international training includes advanced dermatologic surgery courses from UC San Diego, Stellenbosch University, and the ASDS.
She is the founder and curator of EDerma—an online skincare store offering science-backed, dermatologist-approved products for every skin type.
